Welcoming Sikorski and his delegation to India, Jaishankar highlighted the importance of enhanced engagement between the two nations, who, though separated geographically, face distinct challenges and opportunities. The meeting emphasized building on their traditionally warm bilateral ties, which have evolved into a strategic partnership following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Poland in 2024.
The leaders reviewed the Action Plan 2024-28 to unlock the full potential of their strategic partnership, including cooperation in trade, investment, defense, and technology. India, one of Poland's major trading partners in Central Europe, offers vast opportunities for Polish businesses.
