National Security Adviser Ajit Doval touched down in Riyadh on Tuesday, signaling a deepening of strategic relations between India and Saudi Arabia. He was warmly welcomed at the airport by India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, and Saudi Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, as noted by the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.

Marking a unified stand against terrorism, the two countries denounced recent terror attacks, including incidents in Pahalgam and near the Red Fort in New Delhi. This condemnation was reiterated at the third India-Saudi Arabia Security Working Group meeting, co-chaired by Vinod Bahade and Ahmed Al-Eissa, where they agreed to combat terrorism in all its forms.

During the discussions, both sides assessed ongoing security cooperation, focusing on pressing global threats. Shared priorities included enhancing counter-terrorism collaboration, preventing technological misuse by terrorists, and strengthening law enforcement and judicial cooperation. Plans for the next Security Working Group meeting in India were also set in motion. Ongoing engagements with Arab countries were reviewed, with aims to bolster partnerships across various strategic sectors.
