The humanitarian crisis engulfing the Islamic Republic is at a breaking point as hostilities persist, with alarming casualties and mass displacement reported nationwide. Over a week into the conflict, Iran's humanitarian toll escalates, with official sources citing over 1,300 deaths since the violence erupted, according to Al Jazeera.

The intensifying fighting has displaced approximately 100,000 people, forcing many to flee for safety. This mass exodus has overwhelmed relief efforts, as the UN refugee agency reports a surge in urgent assistance requests. As the humanitarian situation deteriorates, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced Israeli Air Force strikes on Iranian military assets in Tehran, targeting fuel storage complexes belonging to the IRGC, guided by IDF intelligence.

In tandem with these military actions, US President Donald Trump claimed the elimination of Iran's leadership, describing it as removing a major 'cancer.' Addressing allegations of US involvement in a school bombing, Trump blamed Iran, citing weapon inaccuracy. As the conflict rages into its second week, Trump emphasized America's significant military accomplishments while highlighting potential diplomatic avenues.

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, aboard Air Force One, mentioned a potential deal with Iran, contingent on a shift in Iran's stance. Meanwhile, international anxiety grows, led by concerns from UK Parliament member Tom Tugendhat over regional developments affecting the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and others. The escalating tensions follow a joint US-Israel military strike on February 28, resulting in significant Iranian leadership casualties.

In retaliation, Iran launched missiles and drones at US and allied targets across West Asia, further escalating regional conflict and risks to civilians and expatriates. With energy prices and regional stability at stake, the international community watches with heightened concern.
