In a startling case of domestic violence, Sohanlal from Rajasthan's Jalore district allegedly attacked his mother-in-law, severing her nose with a pair of scissors during a family dispute. The incident occurred in Dungari ke Bandha village, further escalating tensions between Sohanlal and his in-laws.

The conflict, rooted in marital discord, has been festering for years. Sohanlal married his wife six years ago, but the couple has been living separately for nearly a year due to unresolved issues. Attempts by the community to mediate had proved futile prior to this gruesome incident.

Following the attack, Sohanlal fled the scene, leaving the victim, Keli Devi, severely injured. She was en route to the local police station to file a report against her son-in-law at the time of the attack. A case has been filed, and police are actively searching for Sohanlal. Meanwhile, Keli Devi has been taken to Mehsana in Gujarat for medical treatment.
