Foundation Laid for New School in Kalikot: A Symbol of Indo-Nepali Cooperation

The foundation stone for a new educational facility, Shree Janajyoti Secondary School, was ceremoniously laid in the Kalikot District of Karnali Province, Nepal. The project garners financial backing from the Government of India, amounting to approximately Nepali Rupees 93 million, according to a release from the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
Identified as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), this initiative marks the first of its kind in the district. The construction will be executed via Sannitriveni Rural Municipality. Local authorities, including the Chairman of Sannitriveni Rural Municipality, voiced their gratitude for India's developmental aid, confident it will significantly enhance educational opportunities in the area.
In a video address, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava conveyed his best wishes, reaffirming India's unwavering commitment to fostering collaborative growth with Nepal. The widespread implementation of HICDPs underscores India's ongoing efforts to support Nepal's development agenda, with nearly 600 projects launched across all provinces, enhancing infrastructure in key sectors.
