Azerbaijani yoga expert Irada Aliyeva led the session, demonstrating a series of yoga asanas, Suryanamaskar, pranayama, and meditation techniques. Ambassador Abhay Kumar addressed the attendees, emphasizing the profound benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life while thanking them for their participation and encouraging future engagement.
Pointing out the escalating global popularity since the United Nations declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, the ambassador extended an invitation for the next celebration on 21 June 2026. The event also featured captivating performances by Azerbaijani artists and concluded with authentic Indian cuisine, reinforcing the embassy’s dedication to fostering wellness and bilateral ties through yoga.
