In optimistic remarks made at the G7 Summit in Evian, France, US President Donald Trump heralded the commencement of the second phase in negotiations with Iran as a more straightforward endeavor following a peace agreement with the Islamic Republic aimed at de-escalating West Asia tensions. In discussions with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Trump dismissed conjecture about Washington extending financial help to Tehran, branding such claims as 'ridiculous.'

Trump reiterated his commitment to the peace deal, labeling it as 'fair' and 'good,' despite previous military confrontations with Iran amidst the initial phase of talks. He remarked that his administration was bound by circumstances to take decisive action but now looked forward to a constructive dialog.

The second negotiation phase, according to CNN reports, will address the technicalities of Iran’s nuclear program and economic relief strategies, focusing on reopening the crucial Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance clarified the potential access Iran could have to a proposed USD 300 billion reconstruction fund, contingent on compliance with agreement terms.
