Taiwan defends its maritime sovereignty after Chinese patrol

​Taiwan's ‌coast guard expressed strong ​condemnation of ‌a Chinese maritime law enforcement patrol, and defended ‌that China has "absolutely ‌no jurisdiction" over the waters around the ⁠island ​on ⁠Thursday.

The coast guard said ⁠it monitored the movements ​of the Chinese coast ⁠guard vessels throughout their ⁠operations ​in the waters east of ⁠the island.
