US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-S&P 500, Nasdaq open higher as oil prices fall

The ​benchmark ​S&P 500 ‌and the tech-heavy ​Nasdaq indexes opened slightly ‌higher on Friday, while the Dow was flat as ‌investors digested conflicting signals from ‌lower oil prices and higher Treasury yields.

The Dow Jones ⁠Industrial ​Average ⁠rose 48.7 points, or 0.09%, at ⁠the open to 51,826.78. ​The S&P 500 rose ⁠19.4 points, or 0.25%, at the ⁠open ​to 7,657.17, while the Nasdaq Composite rose ⁠103.8 points, or 0.39%, to ⁠26,522.09.
