Costa Rica's Fernandez dismisses Foreign Minister Tovar

‌Costa Rica's President Laura ​Fernandez on ‌Thursday dismissed Foreign Minister Manuel Tovar, the President's ‌office said in ‌a statement.

Fernandez justified the dismissal by ⁠stating ​that ⁠the foreign minister attended a ⁠Shield of the ​Americas meeting on Tuesday led ⁠by US President ⁠Donald ​Trump without notifying her, according ⁠to the statement.
