Xi's comments on Taiwan 'distort facts', Taipei says

​Chinese ‌President Xi Jinping's ​comments on ‌Taiwan to US President Donald Trump represent the ‌consistent Chinese ‌approach of "distorting facts" and only the island's ⁠people ​can ⁠decide their future, ⁠Taipei's foreign ministry said ​on Friday.

"The Chinese communist ⁠regime has ⁠no ​right to represent the Taiwanese ⁠people," it said in ⁠a ⁠statement.
