Rubio, Bukele discuss security of El Salvador's ports, other critical infrastructure

​US ​Secretary of ‌State Marco ​Rubio discussed keeping ‌El Salvador's critical infrastructure, including ports, secure and free ‌from "malign foreign influence" in ‌a call on Tuesday with Salvadoran ⁠President ​Nayib ⁠Bukele, the US State Department ⁠said.

Rubio also urged El ​Salvador to join the ⁠US and its ⁠allies in ​advancing "shared priorities" at the United ⁠Nations, the State Department added.
