French police fire tear gas during protests against high prices

​French ‌police fired ​tear gas towards protesters ‌in Paris who were demonstrating against high prices ‌and the erosion ‌of a social model intended ⁠to ​provide ⁠a basic level of opportunity ⁠and social security.

There were ​also clashes in ⁠Marseille, with protesters throwing ⁠projectiles ​and police responding with tear ⁠gas.
