EU asks member states to delay overlapping child protection laws
The European Union has asked member states to postpone for 12 months any draft national legislation that would overlap with rules planned under the forthcoming EU Kids Act, an EU spokesperson said on Thursday.
The request is intended to avoid conflicting national measures while the bloc works on a harmonised regulatory framework for children's online safety and protection.
