Mike Conley scored a career-high 40 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 120-111 victory over the visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. Conley drained 6 of 7 3-pointers while connecting on 12 of 18 shots overall. He scored 19 points in the final quarter as the Grizzlies outscored Portland 38-25 to win for just the third time in the past nine games.

Delon Wright added 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting for Memphis. Jonas Valanciunas scored 17 points, Avery Bradley tallied 14 and C.J. Miles had 12. CJ McCollum scored 27 points for the Trail Blazers, who finished 5-2 on a seven-game road trip. Damian Lillard scored 24 points, Maurice Harkless added a season-best 20 and Enes Kanter had 11.

Portland shot 53.2 percent from the field but was just 9 of 29 from behind the arc. Memphis shot 53.3 percent from the field, including 13 of 27 from 3-point range. Miles buried a 3-pointer to give the Grizzlies a 101-100 lead with 4:01 remaining. Conley later drained a 3-pointer to make it 107-102 with 2:27 left.

Lillard's three-point play moved Portland within 109-107 with 1:51 remaining before Conley answered with a four-point play 13 seconds later. He added a basket to make it 115-107 with 1:23 left and Memphis led by as many as nine while closing it out. Portland held a 75-66 lead after a dunk by Harkless with 6:49 left in the third quarter. The Grizzlies whittled within 80-78 on Wright's basket with 3:02 remaining before the Trail Blazers took an 86-82 edge into the final stanza. Miles buried a 3-pointer to pull Memphis within one before Portland answered with eight straight to take a 94-85 lead with 8:07 remaining.

Conley scored five points as the Grizzlies answered with a 7-0 run to move within 94-92 with 6:33 left. Memphis finally caught Portland at 96 on Conley's floater with 5:22 left. Portland shot 59 percent from the field in the first half while holding a 63-61 lead. The Trail Blazers led by as many as 16 points in the opening quarter and led 59-47 after a dunk by Jusuf Nurkic with 2:40 left in the half before Memphis closed with a 14-4 push to trail by two.
