As a follow-up to the decision reached during the delegation-level talks on March 14, experts from India and Pakistan on Tuesday held a meeting at the Zero Point of the Kartarpur Corridor, to discuss technical details, including Finished Road Level, High Flood level etc. Asserting that the meeting was held in a "positive and constructive" environment, the Foreign Office stated, "The meeting between technical experts of Pakistan and India was held today at the Zero Point of the Kartarpur Corridor. Both sides jointly surveyed the coordinates of the Zero Point and discussed the technical details, including Finished Road Level, High Flood level etc."

Expressing hope to finalise the modalities at the earliest, the two sides have also agreed on some technical aspects and details. According to sources, India has been seeking this meeting for a long time.

"India had even suggested holding it on 15 February. Pakistan, however, linked it to the meeting on draft Agreement," sources said. The next meeting on operationalisation of the corridor will be held at Wagah on 2 April 2019.

The first meeting between the two sides was held at Attari in Gurdaspur district of Indian Punjab yesterday during which issues like finalisation of the draft agreement between the two countries for facilitating smooth and easy access to Corridor Kartarpur Sahib to the visiting Indian pilgrims were discussed.
