St. Louis Blues defenseman Vince Dunn will not play Monday night in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final in Boston due to an upper-body injury. Dunn, 22, hasn't played since May 15. He missed the last three games of the Blues' Western Conference finals victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Dunn tallied 12 goals and 23 assists in the regular season and has two goals and five assists in 16 games this postseason. St. Louis coach Craig Berube said Dunn is still day-to-day but is close to a return.

Berube also said rookie forward Robert Thomas, who has been dealing with an undisclosed injury, will play Monday against the Bruins. The 19-year-old Thomas had nine goals and 24 assists during the regular season and has one goal and five assists in 19 postseason contests.
