ICC prosecutor files request to appeal rejection of Afghanistan investigation

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on Friday filed a request seeking to overturn the rejection by judges of her planned investigation into alleged war crimes in Afghanistan.
In April, the court refused lead Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda's request to open an investigation into alleged atrocities by Afghan and U.S. forces in the conflict.
