Bus carrying retirees crashes in Argentina, 13 dead
- Country:
- Argentina
Officials say a bus carrying a group of retirees has overturned on a foggy road in northern Argentina, killing at least 13 passengers and leaving 40 injured. La Madrid town representative Dardo Herrera tells the Todo Noticias television channel that the accident occurred early Monday at a dangerous intersection near his town in Tucuman province.
The retirees were accompanied by younger passengers and it wasn't immediately clear how many of the victims were elderly. The bus had left from the city of Mendoza en route to Termas de Rio Hondo, a spa known for its thermal waters.
