Power outage strikes Brewerton ahead of big fireworks display

A power outage has stuck Brewerton impacting 2,743 customers. The incident was reported by National Grid here on Wednesday evening and the problem struck as thousands arrived in the small town to see a massive annual fireworks display.

The Cicero Fire Chief says CNYCentral that it is believed a substation caught fire around 7:00 p.m. Some traffic lights are out. If you are in the area, please use caution. 

National Grid is predicting 9:15 p.m. for power restoration.
