Water in Kalingarayan canal released for irrigation

Erode (TN), July 21 (PTI): For the purpose of irrigation, water in the Kalingarayan canal was released on Wednesday.

According to the Public Works Department, the decision to release the water till November 17 was taken to help farmers cultivate crops in over 15,743 acres in Erode district.

The ryots have been asked to use the water judiciously, said the officials of the department.
