Measures being taken to contain failed coup attempt in Sudan- official source

A Sudanese government source said on Tuesday there had been a failed coup attempt, and that measures were being taken to contain a limited number of people involved.

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the coup had involved an attempt to take control of state radio in Omdurman, across the river Nile from the capital Khartoum.
