ASI placed under suspension

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police in Jharkhand's Palamu district was placed under suspension on the orders of the Superintendent of Police, an officer said on Wednesday.
The ASI posted at Manatu police station of Palamau district was found in a compromising position with a woman in a hotel on Monday.
A complaint was lodged against the ASI by local people with the SP.
Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kumar Sinha said the villagers spotted the police officer in a compromising position with a woman in a hotel and informed the police.
The SP said the ASI was placed under suspension and an inquiry was ordered.
