No Pakistani delegation visiting Israel: FO
- Country:
- Pakistan
Pakistan on Thursday said that none of its delegation was visiting Israel as there was no change in its policy towards the Jewish state.
Pakistan is among the countries that has no diplomatic relations with Israel because of the lingering issue of Palestinian statehood, and says no government delegation has visited Israel.
Pakistan's Foreign Office in a statement in response to media queries categorically rejected the notion of any delegation from Pakistan visiting Israel.
"The reported visit in question was organized by a foreign NGO which is not based in Pakistan," it said, adding that Pakistan's position on the Palestinian issue was clear and unambiguous.
The FO said that there is no change whatsoever in their policy on which there is complete national consensus and Pakistan steadfastly supports the Palestinian people's inalienable right to self-determination.
