IMF says staff made 'very good progress' in talks about new loan for Ukraine
The International Monetary Fund on Wednesday said its staff held productive talks with Ukrainian officials in Warsaw, and made "very good progress" on a set of policies that could underpin a new IMF lending program for the war-torn country.
Vahram Stepanyan, the IMF resident representative to Ukraine, said IMF staff met with Ukrainian officials in Warsaw from March 8-15 on their request for a Fund-supported program, and the discussions should be concluded in the "coming days."
