A 36-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly possessing and attempting to sell banned narcotic substance MDMA in a car at a village in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, police said.
The arrested man has been identified as S Kabeer, a resident of Bettampady in Kasaba village of Sullia taluk, police further said. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the spot where the accused was waiting for customers in a car with the banned drug and took him into custody. Police confiscated 40 grams of MDMA tablets worth Rs 1.32 lakh, two mobile phones and also impounded the car from the accused. The accused was produced before a court and sent to judicial custody.
