Man stabbed to death in Rajasthan's Kota

A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death by some unidentified people at Deoli-Manjhi village here, police said on Monday.The deceased has been identified as Rajkumar Meena, they said.On Sunday, Meena and his two friends were returning from home on a motorcycle after attending a wedding when they were intercepted by some bike-borne assailants, SHO Deoli-Manji Jugdish Rai said. Some of the assailants thrashed Meena while one of them took out a knife and stabbed him, he said.

On Sunday, Meena and his two friends were returning from home on a motorcycle after attending a wedding when they were intercepted by some bike-borne assailants, SHO (Deoli-Manji) Jugdish Rai said. Some of the assailants thrashed Meena while one of them took out a knife and stabbed him, he said. Meena’s friends rushed to a local hospital from where he was referred to Kota’s MBS Hospital where he succumbed to injuries, the SHO said. According to the victim’s friends, Meena was having an affair with a girl and had an argument with a youth over her in Kota a few weeks ago. However, the motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, the SHO said. A case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified accused, he said, adding that the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
