SHO among 2 held for taking Rs 20,000 bribe in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur

Rajasthans Anti-Corruption Bureau ACB on Tuesday arrested a police officer and his broker in Sawai Madhopur district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 every month. The ACB team caught the duo red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant.The accused are being questioned and their residences and other locations are being searched, the statement said.

Rajasthan's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested a police officer and his ''broker'' in Sawai Madhopur district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 every month. Station House Officer of Batoda police station Ramkesh Meena and his alleged broker Kunjilal Meena have been arrested, the ACB said in a statement. The complainant alleged that sub-inspector Meena demanded a bribe of Rs 1,500 per trolley or Rs 20,000 on a monthly basis to allow his gravel tractor-trolley to run. The ACB team caught the duo red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant.

The accused are being questioned and their residences and other locations are being searched, the statement said.
