Russia says it continues to repel Ukrainian attacks in south

Russia's Defence Ministry said on Friday that it continued to repel Ukrainian attacks in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia, Russian news agencies reported.

Separately, the Defence Ministry said it had launched a long-range strike against "foreign-made ammunition and weapons" overnight.

Reuters was not able to immediately verify the ministry's claims.
