China says its vessels exercise right to free navigation according to law

China's ships exercise their right to freedom of navigation and scientific research in accordance with the law，its foreign ministry said on Thursday.

Wang Wenbin, a ministry spokesperson, spoke in response to a question regarding the island of Palau seeking more patrols from the United States, after several recent incursions by Chinese vessels.
