9 held as police bust motorcycle theft gang in Jamshedpur

Nine people, including four minors, were held as a motorcycle theft gang was busted in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district, police said on Tuesday.

Three persons were nabbed after a stolen motorcycle was intercepted near Chepapool in Azadnagar police station area in Jamshedpur on Monday evening, they said.

On the basis of the information provided by them, six more people were held and five stolen motorcycles were seized from Azadnagar, Sakchi, MGM and Sitaramdera areas, they added.

Among those held were drug addicts and persons accused of petty crimes, police said.

A case was lodged and an investigation is underway, they said.
