U.S. Senate will work on its own bipartisan Israel, Ukraine emergency aid package -Schumer

The U.S. Senate will not take up the aid package to Israel put forward by House Republicans and will instead work on its own bipartisan emergency aid package that includes aid to Israel, Gaza and Ukraine, Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on Thursday.

He called the Republicans' proposal, which provides funding to Israel but also includes severe cuts to funding for the Internal Revenue Service, "deeply flawed."
