Blinken in Israel says US has been clear there should not be second, third front in conflict

The United States has been clear that it is determined there should not be a second or third front in the conflict, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday following meetings with Israeli leaders, adding that Washington is committed to deterring aggression from any party.

"With regard to Lebanon, with regard to Hezbollah, with regard to Iran - we have been very clear from the outset that we are determined that there not be a second or third front opened in this conflict," Blinken told reporters in Tel Aviv in response to a question about whether the U.S. would be willing to use its firepower in the region on targets in Lebanon and Iran.
