Biden says he told China's Xi the US is a Pacific nation

U.S. President Joe Biden said he told Chinese President Xi Jinping in their meeting on Wednesday that the United States is engaged in the Pacific region because it is a Pacific nation.

"Because of us, there has been peace and security in the region, allowing you to grow," Biden said on Thursday at an Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO summit.
