Macron says concluding trade deal talks with Mercosur countries was impossible

France's Emmanuel Macron has firmly reiterated to the European Commission that it was impossible to conclude trade deal talks with the Mercosur countries, his cabinet said in a statement on Monday.

It added that the EU understood it was impossible to reach a deal in this context and that it was France's understanding that the EU has instructed negotiators to end talks in Brazil.
