Denmark agrees $5 bln defence boost

Danish lawmakers agreed to boost the country's defence budget by an additional 35 billion Danish crowns ($5.01 billion) between this year and 2028, the government said in a press conference late on Tuesday.

The fresh defence funding comes in addition to 155 billion crowns Denmark pledged last year for the next 10 years. ($1 = 6.9831 Danish crowns)
