Russia Seeks Baltic Sea Border Clarification Amid Concerns

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that Russia's borders in the Baltic Sea should be in accordance with international law. She said that work by Russia's defence ministry to "clarify" the border was of a technical nature.
Russia caused confusion and concern among Baltic states this week when a defence ministry proposal to revise Russia's maritime border in the eastern Baltic Sea was posted on, and subsequently removed from, an official portal. (Writing by Felix Light; Editing by Mark Trevelyan)
