The Special Investigation Team (SIT) intensified its searches across multiple locations in a determined effort to locate Bhavani Revanna, the mother of suspended JD(S) Member of Parliament Prajwal Revanna. This search is in connection to a woman kidnap case. Sources revealed on Sunday that Bhavani was not present at her residence in Holenarasipura, Hassan district.

The SIT had earlier instructed Bhavani to stay at home on June 1 for questioning tied to the allegations of sexual abuse against her son. When the investigators arrived at her residence, 'Chennambika Nilaya,' she was nowhere to be found.

On Saturday evening, two women lawyers visited 'Chennambika Nilaya' and met with the SIT officials, but the purpose of the meeting remains undisclosed. Bhavani, through her lawyers, cited illness as the reason for her absence and assured her availability soon.

Bhavani's husband and Holenarasipura JD(S) MLA H D Revanna, also facing legal issues, is out on bail. The SIT’s search has extended beyond Hassan, reaching Mysuru, Bengaluru, Mandya, and Ramanagara, including the homes of Bhavani's relatives, yet she remains untraceable.

This probe involves the prominent JD(S) family, including former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda's son H D Revanna, his wife Bhavani, and their son Prajwal. The family has been embroiled in controversy following the release of explicit videos. Prajwal, fleeing to Germany amid the scandal, was arrested upon his return to India on Friday and is currently in police custody.
