A petrol bomb was thrown at the Israeli embassy in Bucharest, causing no damage or casualties. The suspect, reportedly of Syrian origin, was arrested by Romanian authorities after throwing the bomb during a security inspection.

A petrol bomb was thrown at the Israeli embassy in Bucharest on Monday, causing no damage or casualties, Israel's Foreign Ministry said.

It said Romanian authorities had arrested a suspect, "apparently of Syrian origin". He had pulled out, lit and thrown the petrol bomb while undergoing a security inspection, it said. (Writing by Dan Williams)
