Prohibitory Orders Imposed on Vote Counting Centres in North Kerala

The district administration of Kozhikode and Vadakara imposed prohibitory orders at designated vote counting centres ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections. The district administration on Monday enforced prohibitory orders at designated vote counting centres for Kozhikode and Vadakara Lok Sabha constituencies in North Kerala. This move was made ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha election vote count scheduled for Tuesday.

Official sources confirmed that vote counting for both constituencies will commence at 8.00 am on Tuesday. Similar restrictions were also enforced at a school in Thiruvambady under the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.

The prohibitory measures, which took effect Monday evening, will remain in place until Wednesday at 10.00 am, sources stated. District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh further warned of stringent legal actions against those spreading unverified or misleading news regarding the counting and election results. He emphasized that social media platforms are under strict police surveillance, and urged WhatsApp admins to exercise extra caution.
