In a significant drug bust, authorities recovered thirteen unclaimed packets of cocaine, valued at Rs 130 crore, from a creek near Gandhidham in Gujarat's Kutch district early Wednesday. This marks the second substantial seizure in the area within eight months.
According to Kutch-East Superintendent of Police Sagar Bagmar, the cocaine was initially hidden by smugglers to evade capture. A joint operation by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Special Operations Group led to the discovery.
''We have registered a case against unidentified suspects and further investigations are underway,” said Superintendent of Police, ATS, Sunil Joshi. Notably, in September last year, 80 packets of cocaine worth Rs 800 crore were found in the same vicinity.
