In a significant show of solidarity, various farmer outfits such as the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha took to the streets of Mohali on Sunday. The march was in support of CISF woman constable Kulwinder Kaur, accused of slapping actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. Farmers' leaders demanded an impartial investigation, insisting that Kaur receive fair treatment.

Sarwan Singh Pandher, a prominent farmer leader, emphasized the need for an unbiased probe into the incident. He stressed the importance of understanding the circumstances leading to the altercation to ensure no injustice befalls the constable. Adequate security was in place during the march, which started from Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali.

Ranaut, who recently got elected to the Lok Sabha, shared in a video message that Kaur had hit her in the face during a security check at Chandigarh airport, attributing the act to Kaur's support for the farmers' protests. The incident has sparked a larger conversation about the rising tensions and statements made by Ranaut regarding Punjab's farmer community.
