Tense Stand-off as Security Forces Neutralize Pakistani Terrorist in Jammu-Kashmir

Security forces swiftly neutralized a suspected Pakistani terrorist following an attack on a village near the International Border (IB) in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday evening. The exchange of fire resulted in one civilian injured, identified as Omkar Nath alias 'Bitu,' who suffered serious arm injuries.

Meanwhile, a simultaneous gunfight unfolded in the higher reaches of Doda district, with no immediate reports of casualties. Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu zone, Anand Jain, confirmed the developments, providing insights on the operations. He stated that two terrorists believed to have recently infiltrated the area surfaced in Saida Sukhal village.

Officials recovered an AK assault rifle and a rucksack from the slain terrorist, while the search for the second terrorist continues. ADGP Jain emphasized that the situation is a clear attempt by hostile neighboring elements to disrupt the peace in the region. He urged the public to rely on verified information and assist in the ongoing security operations.
