Terror Attack on Pilgrim Bus: 50 Detained in Extensive Probe

Fifty individuals have been detained in connection with the recent terror attack on a pilgrim bus in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities have expanded the search operation to cover remote areas to track down the terrorists. A sketch and cash reward have been announced to aid the investigation.

In a major breakthrough, police have detained fifty people linked to the recent terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir. This was confirmed by authorities on Thursday.

The search operation has now been extended to cover Reasi district's remote Arnas and Mahore areas to ensure a comprehensive probe, considering these regions were terrorist hotbeds between 1995 and 2005.

On Sunday, the terrorists shot at a 53-seater bus en route to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, causing it to veer off into a deep gorge. This tragic event resulted in the deaths of nine pilgrims and injuries to 41 others.

A police spokesperson confirmed the detention, stating that significant leads have been uncovered, aiding in identifying and capturing those potentially involved. Search operations aim to unearth further evidence and apprehend the terrorists hiding in these remote regions.

The police have released a sketch of one terrorist and announced a Rs 20 lakh reward for information leading to the neutralization of the culprits. Authorities emphasized their commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring the region's safety.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Mohita Sharma, urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately.
