Judicial Custody for Arvind Kejriwal's Aide Extended Till July 6

A court extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide, Bibhav Kumar, till July 6. Accused of assaulting MP Swati Maliwal, Kumar has been in custody since his arrest on May 18. Multiple extensions have since followed, with charges including criminal intimidation and attempt to commit culpable homicide.

In a significant development, the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has been extended until July 6 by a court here on Saturday.

Kumar faces serious accusations including the assault of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister's official residence on May 13.

Kumar, who was initially arrested on May 18 and placed under police custody for five days, appeared via video conferencing before Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal resulting in the extension of his judicial custody.

Kumar has faced multiple custody extensions post-arrest, coupled with serious charges under various Indian Penal Code provisions, such as criminal intimidation, assault on a woman with the intent to disrobe, and attempted culpable homicide.
