Two personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force's elite jungle warfare unit, CoBRA, tragically lost their lives in an IED explosion orchestrated by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Sunday, according to police reports.
The Naxalite attack took place around 3 pm near Timmapuram village, situated between the Silger and Tekalgudem camps, approximately 400 km from Raipur, the state capital.
Members of the 201st unit of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action were patrolling from Silger camp when the explosive device detonated, resulting in the deaths of constable Shailendra, aged 29 from Uttar Pradesh, and driver Vishnu R, aged 35 from Kerala. The truck targeted was ferrying their luggage and rations.
