Chandrababu Naidu-led Cabinet Greenlights Major Reforms in Andhra Pradesh

In its inaugural meeting, the newly formed TDP-led government in Andhra Pradesh, headed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, unveiled a series of significant reforms and initiatives. These include the recruitment of 16,347 teachers and the abolition of the Land Titling Act, among other transformative decisions.
Speaking at a press conference, Information and Public Relations Minister K Parthasarathy emphasized the administration's commitment to fulfilling its poll promises. 'First and foremost, the Cabinet approved the recruitment of 16,347 teachers posts through the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment,' Parthasarathy announced, highlighting a marked departure from the previous YSRCP government's tenure.
The Cabinet has also sanctioned an increase in welfare pensions, with monthly disbursements set to rise from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000. Further reforms include the rebranding of Vijayawada-based Dr YSR University of Health Sciences to NTR University of Health Sciences and the formation of a committee to tackle marijuana trafficking. Additionally, a comprehensive skills census programme and substantial infrastructure improvements were ratified.
