EPS Demands Governor's Intervention in Kallakurichi Hooch Tragedy

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami demanded that Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi take action against the ruling DMK over the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy. Palaniswami submitted a memorandum alleging government failure in controlling illicit arrack and called for a CBI investigation. Governor assured appropriate action.

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has called on Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, urging immediate action against the ruling DMK in connection with the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy.

Leading a delegation, Palaniswami submitted a memorandum at Raj Bhavan, accusing the DMK government of failing to curb the production and sale of illicit arrack. He insisted that a CBI investigation was necessary for impartiality and fairness.

Governor Ravi assured him of taking appropriate action based on the memorandum. Palaniswami emphasized that DMK president and Chief Minister M K Stalin should take responsibility for the deaths and step down.
