Delhi Couple Goes Missing in Ganga at Rishikesh's Neem Beach

A couple from Delhi went missing in the Ganga river at Muni Ki Reti near Rishikesh. Search efforts by the State Disaster Response Force are ongoing, but the couple has yet to be found. They were identified as Lovepreet (26) from West Delhi and Neha Thakur (22) from Karol Bagh.

A couple from Delhi were feared to have drowned in the Ganga river at Muni Ki Reti, near Rishikesh, on Monday, police reported.

Divers from the State Disaster Response Force have initiated a search operation in the river, but the couple remains untraced, according to police statements.

The couple, identified as Lovepreet (26) from West Delhi and Neha Thakur (22) from Karol Bagh, reportedly went to Neem Beach around 1 pm to bathe in the Ganga.

Eyewitnesses said they disappeared after going a considerable distance into the river waves.
