Jyotiraditya Scindia's Milestone Tour: Boosting NE Projects

Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia is set for a two-day visit to Meghalaya and Assam. He will chair a meeting to review regional development projects and inaugurate the NERACE app, which aims to connect farmers with global markets. This marks his first visit as the DoNER Minister.

Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) and Communications, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, is embarking on a two-day visit to Meghalaya and Assam starting Friday, according to official reports.

During his visit, Scindia will preside over a review meeting at the NEC Secretariat, where officials from MDoNER, NEC, and state governments will convene to evaluate the progress of various regional projects and initiatives. This event marks Scindia's inaugural tour of the Northeast since he took office as the DoNER Minister.

A noteworthy highlight of the visit will be a presentation on the NEC Vision 2047 and the introduction of the NERACE app, as noted by a senior official. The NERACE app is a comprehensive digital platform aimed at connecting farmers with global markets, facilitating direct transactions and price negotiations. It also features a multilingual helpline and integrates farmers and sellers, thereby enhancing agricultural connectivity across Northeast India.

Expressing his anticipation ahead of the visit, Scindia said, ''I am delighted to visit the beautiful states of Meghalaya and Assam to witness the progress of our development projects. Our vision is to create a vibrant and prosperous Northeast, contributing to the nation's mission of building a Viksit Bharat.''
